CHICAGO, October 31, 2007 – Kerasotes ShowPlace Theatres, LLC announced plans to open a 14-screen multiplex in west suburban Oak Brook, IL. The state-of-the-art cinema will be part of Clearwater, a new mixed-use project under development by The John Buck Company and San Francisco-based McMorgan & Company. Designed by Chicago-based OKW Architects, the development will occupy 29 acres north of 22nd Street on the east and west sides of York Road.

The theaters, located at York Road and 22nd Street, will occupy a site on the east side of York Road adjacent to 2001 York Road, an office building developed by The John Buck Company in 2000.

Construction of the Kerasotes facility is expected to begin pending Village approval in the first half of 2008, with opening of the theater planned for the first half of 2009.

Located across 22nd Street, north of the Oak Brook Golf Course, Clearwater will also consist of 80,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a 50,000-square-foot health club, a 139-room aloft Hotel, and a 13-story, 76-unit, luxury condominium building. The site will be augmented by landscaped park-like grounds, pedestrian walkways and ample parking for shoppers and residents.
